Shipping, returns & support

For Amazon orders, Amazon displays the current price, taxes, available shipping choices and an address-specific delivery estimate before checkout.

For any order question, email support@stelexbooks.com. Include your order number and a short description. For Lulu purchases, STELEX Books works with Lulu on printing and delivery issues. For Amazon purchases, use Amazon’s order page for delivery, cancellations, returns and refunds; contact STELEX for the included music and reader extras. Please never send payment-card details.

Amazon orders: shipping and delivery

For Amazon orders, delivery options and estimated arrival depend on the item and shipping address. Use Your Orders on Amazon for tracking and delivery help.

Earlier Lulu orders

Existing Lulu Direct orders continue under the shipping method and delivery estimate selected at checkout. Shipping options depend on the destination and order.

Lulu prints and binds each copy after purchase, before shipping. Refer to your order confirmation for the shipping method, charges, taxes and estimated timing. Contact us if you need help with an existing order.

Production and delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees. Tracking depends on the selected shipping service. If the estimated arrival window has passed or a tracking update concerns you, contact us so we can check the order.

Changes and cancellations

For an Amazon purchase, use Your Orders on Amazon to see the available cancellation or change options. STELEX cannot change an Amazon order.

Earlier Lulu orders

Email us immediately if you need to cancel or correct a delivery address. We will check what is still possible. Cancellation is available only before the order’s production cutoff; address changes are also time-sensitive. Sending a request does not guarantee a change.

Returns and replacements

For an Amazon purchase, request a return, refund or replacement through Your Orders on Amazon. The options and eligibility shown by Amazon apply to that order.

Damaged, defective, incorrect or missing Lulu books

Tell us promptly if your copy arrives damaged, has a printing defect, is the wrong book or has not arrived. Send your order number and explain the problem. Clear photos of the book and packaging help with damage claims; for a wrong book, include its cover and packing slip. Keep the items while we investigate and wait for instructions before returning anything.

We work with Lulu to review the issue and explain the available remedy. Lulu’s Direct order guidance describes a 60-day replacement period for qualifying manufacturing defects. Please report the problem as soon as you notice it so we can check your order’s eligibility.

Change of mind or an incorrectly selected Lulu format

For these earlier Lulu orders, each book is made to order. We do not offer routine returns or refunds for a change of mind or an incorrectly selected format. This does not prevent you from reporting defects, incorrect fulfillment or other order problems, and it does not limit rights you have under applicable consumer law.

Who processes your payment?

Amazon processes orders placed on Amazon. This website does not take payment-card details.

Existing purchases made through this website used Lulu Direct’s separate hosted checkout. For those Buy Button transactions, Lulu is the seller and merchant of record; Stripe processes the payment, and Lulu appears on the payment-card statement. STELEX remains your contact for customer support. See Lulu’s terms and Direct checkout information.

Help with your digital reader extras

Lulu editions include the reader-extras URL and code on page 8. Amazon editions include instructions to email us with the Amazon order number and proof of purchase; after manual verification, we send the library code privately. The US reader downloads include a printable Gothic bookmark, a reader’s field guide, the eight-page An Evening on the Moor book-club and gift packet, and an optional digital Carmilla edition. No separate physical bookmark or second printed book is shipped.

Your 34-track chapter soundtrack

Eligible STELEX editions purchased through this website’s Lulu checkout or Amazon include private streaming of 34 instrumental tracks, one inspired by each chapter. This includes earlier eligible Lulu purchases. Email support@stelexbooks.com with your order number and listening email. Include your Lulu checkout email or Amazon proof showing the paid order and eligible edition: paperback ISBN 9798174589469 or hardcover ISBN 9798174588004. Hide payment details, addresses and unrelated purchases. We manually verify the purchase before sending access; this is not instant checkout delivery.

After verification, open the soundtrack to request a fresh sign-in link. For gifts, the verified purchaser can request transfer to the recipient’s email. Full refunds and payment reversals end listening access; contact us about replacement orders, partial adjustments or access errors.
